Working Principle
1. Emission of radiation from hot object
- The target object emits infrared (IR) radiation depending on its temperature.
2. Collection of radiation
- The pyrometer lens focuses this radiation onto a detector.
3. Detection by sensor
- A detector (thermopile/photodiode) converts IR radiation into an electrical signal.
4. Signal processing
- The signal is amplified and processed inside the device.
5. Temperature calculation
- Temperature is calculated using radiation laws (based on Stefan–Boltzmann law).
6. Output display
- Final temperature is displayed or sent as output (e.g., 4–20 mA signal).
